BMW to recall over 318,000 vehicles due to starter motor overheating, fire risk

BMW is recalling hundreds of thousands of vehicles that were sold in the United States because of the engine starter potentially overheating and catching fire, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The NHTSA issued the recall on Thursday.

BMW previous recall
Just last week, BMW issued a recall for 29,000 vehicles due to a similar issue.
The recall involved three of its hybrid models due to concerns that corrosion inside the starter relay could cause a short-circuit and potentially overheat the starter.
