Body of missing swimmer recovered and identified at Pace Bend Park

TCSO has located and identified the body of a missing swimmer.

On Saturday, first responders searched for a missing swimmer at Pace Bend Park. According to the Pedernales Fire Department, the incident transitioned from rescue to recovery mode.

According to TCSO, the swimmer identified as 23-year-old Rashaun Lamont Donaldson from Lewisville, Texas, allegedly jumped off of a boat in the Baldwin Cove area of Pace Bend Park before 7p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 and did not resurface. 

Divers with the Pedernales Fire Department, ATCEMS, and STARFlight searched the water for the Donaldson on Saturday but were unsuccessful. 

On Sunday morning, recovery efforts continued. At 11:50 a.m. TCSO divers recovered the body of Donaldson. 

The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy on Monday.  Toxicology results are still pending.
