Cap Metro says their driver, not at fault in house crash
AUSTIN,Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - On Monday afternoon, first responders said a bus crashed into a home in North Austin.
The home at 53rd and Duval is still standing, albeit, boarded up. Some of the tenants were entering and grabbing personal items on Tuesday afternoon.
Officials said the driver of a pickup truck hit the side of the bus at a four-way stop, which sent it into the house. Austin-Travis County EMS said the pickup driver was experiencing a medical emergency.
Cap Metro says the video clearly shows, their driver came to a complete stop
"After reviewing the footage from our bus cameras, we can state that the bus operator came to a full stop before proceeding at the stop sign. It appears that the bus operator was not at fault in this crash."
