CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Williamson County Sheriff's Office works to identify porch pirate

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help identifying a porch pirate in Round Rock. 

Around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, a man stole several packages off a porch in Cat Hollow. W

hile the thief was snatching up packages, a car came down the street and pulled into the driveway. The packages were loaded into that car and eventually the thief, jumped in. The incident was captured on the homeowners Nest doorbell. 

The homeowner, who asked FOX 7 Austin to remain anonymous, says the family is just moving into the home.

They have received several deliveries, consequently. He says the thief stole $800 worth of tools. He says he will be more cautious, from here on out. “I think you should at least tell your neighbor if you have any packages, keep those packages until you are here.” he said.
