Suspect, another man dead in Cedar Park shooting: police
CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Cedar Park Police Department says the suspect in Sunday night's fatal shooting in northwest Cedar Park is dead.
What we know:
CPPD says that officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home in the 2600 block of Stapleford Drive between S. Bagdad Road and Bell Boulevard down the road from Lone Tree Park at around 8:15 p.m. Feb. 2.

Police say when officers arrived at the home, they heard gunfire coming from inside. Family members quickly left the home and told officers that another family member was still inside and injured.

Officers entered the home and attempted life-saving measures on the injured man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, including Central Texas regional SWAT, Leander police, Texas DPS, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office and an Austin police helicopter, assisted in searching for a suspect who fled the scene.
A shelter-in-place was issued for the area, but was later lifted after the suspect was found dead in a nearby field with what police are describing as a "self-inflicted gunshot wound."
What we don't know:
The exact relationship between the suspect and the victim is currently unknown, as well as what led to the shooting.
Cedar Park police say the investigation is ongoing.
