COTA announces new bag, lawn policies for 2020 concert season
AUSTIN, Texas - Circuit of The Americas has announced new bag and lawn policies for the 2020 concert season at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater, formerly the Austin360 Amphitheater.
COTA says the new policies will expedite entry and improve venue safety, making it easier than ever for fans to get lost in the music.
The new bag policy states that all bags entering the facility must be clear unless they are smaller than 4.5” by 6.5”. Bags cannot exceed 12” by 12” by 6”. The following bags are not allowed in the facility: clutch bags or purses exceeding 4.5" by 6.5", backpacks of any size, cases for cameras, binoculars and other items, printed pattern or tinted plastic bags, large or reusable grocery totes, mesh or straw bags, duffle bags or fanny packs.

Additionally, lawn chairs, stadium cushions and blankets exceeding 30 inches by 60 inches will not be permitted. COTA also says that some shows may not permit blankets.
“The Germania Insurance Amphitheater is the premier outdoor music venue in Central Texas, and we want everyone who attends a concert to have an unforgettable experience,” said COTA chief operations officer Rick Abbott. “These policies are intended to create a fun, safe environment for all of our guests.”
The 2020 concert series begins on Saturday, March 14 with alternative dance superstars RÜFÜS DU SOL. Fans arriving early will receive a free clear tote bag courtesy of Germania Insurance while supplies last and bags will be available for purchase at amphitheater shows throughout the season.
