Crime Stoppers offers reward in I-35 rock throwing case

AUSTIN — The Office of the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division, joined by the Capital Area Crime Stoppers, has announced a cash reward of up to $6,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons responsible for the I-35 rock throwing attacks. Since June 2014, there have been more than 80 reported incidents of rocks thrown at vehicles along the I-35 corridor, resulting in damaged property and serious injuries.

Capital Area Crime Stoppers is the Austin area’s leading public safety non-profit organization dedicated to keeping the public safe by assisting local law enforcement and generating community involvement to solve serious crimes. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.

To be eligible for the cash reward, all tips must be submitted through Capital Area Crime Stoppers using one of the following methods:
