Diocese of Austin release names of 'credibly accused' abusers
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The Diocese of Austin published the names of 'credibly accused' abusers on Thursday.
As revelations of sex abuse scandals plague the Catholic church the Diocese of Austin is standing alongside other Texas bishops in releasing the names of clergy who have been credibly accused of sexually abusing minors dating back to the 1950s.
The list released on Thursday contains "names of priests, deacons, or religious about whom the Diocese of Austin has received a credible allegation of committing sexual abuse against a minor," according to a letter posted on the Austin Diocese website.

The diocese says the list will be ammended if there are additional credible allegations.
