Dr. Pepper announces new flavor for first time in 5 years
(FOX 29) - Dr. Pepper has introduced a newer, darker version of the popular soft drink that will only be around for a limited time.
Unlike the original blend of 23 flavors, 'Dr. Pepper Dark Berry' will showcase fruity notes such as blackberry and black cherry.
The new blend is set to hit shelves on May 1. It's the first new Dr. Pepper iteration in five years.
The soda is being used to promote the upcoming movie "Spiderman: Far From Home" and will feature the movie's villain, Mysterio, on the packaging.
Dr. Pepper Dark Berry will be available in 12-packs, as well as 12-ounce and 20-ounce cans.
