Fatal shooting in South Austin kills one man

The Austin Police Department is investigating after a man in his 30s died in a shooting Thursday night. 

APD says they received a gun in progress call, which is APD's highest priority call, around 8:30 Thursday night at the Concord of Austin Apartments on Bluff Springs Road. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gun shot wound in his apartment. Police believe the incident could have started in a breezeway. 

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he later died at 8:59 p.m. Police do believe it was an isolated incident. 

Nobody is currently in custody. This the 28th homicide of the year.
