FBI, APD investigating Wells Fargo bank robbery
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The Austin Police Department is working with the FBI Central Texas Violent Crime Task Force to investigate a bank robbery.
The robbery happened on Wednesday, July 10 at the Wells Fargo Bank inside of the Fiesta Mart, located in the 3900 block of northbound I-35. The suspect entered the bank, displayed a note to the teller and left the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.
He was last seen running towards 38 ½ Street. No one was injured during this incident.
The suspect is described as:
- Black male
- 5’9”
- Approximately 150 lbs.
- Thin build
- Mid 20's to 30's
- Last seen wearing a baseball cap, black shirt and blue jeans
