FEMA registration centers open in Hays County

On Wednesday, December 2 FEMA registration centers will be open across Hays County.
Hays County was declared a federal disaster area after a series of storms and floods ran through the area on October 30 and 31.
Officials in Hays County said that anyone who sustained uninsured losses, inside city limits or in the unincorporated areas of the county, can apply for federal assistance programs.
They may do so by: phone at 1-800-621-3362, online by visiting www.disasterassistance.gov, or in person.
Beginning Wednesday, December 2, centers will open across the area from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Mondays through Saturdays. There will be English and Spanish assistance available.

The San Marcos Activity Center: 501 Hopkins Street, San Marcos
Hays County Precinct 2 Office: 5458, FM 2770 in Kyle
Precinct 5 Office: 500 Jack C. Hays Trail in Buda
The Wimberley Community Center: 14068 Ranch Road 12 in Wimberley.
Hays County officials said the centers are application centers only and are not for donations or volunteer assistance.
