Fields of Gold: Thousands of sunflowers sprout curiosity in Waxhaw

WAXHAW, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Things aren't coming up roses in Waxhaw. It's all about the sunflowers.

An immense field of sunflowers has caught the attention of may passing by, even causing a bit of a traffic jam along Providence Road.

The sea of yellow petals has dozens slowing down and pulling over to snap a quick selfie.

There is a no trespassing sign on the property, but when FOX 46 cameras were there, no one was kicked off the property. A sheriff's deputy was on scene to manage traffic.
