Fire at North Austin apartment complex

AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Investigators are working to figure out what caused a fire at a North Austin apartment complex.

The fire started at the Trails of Walnut Creek Apartments just before 12:45 a.m.

Firefighters put out the fire within minutes but it still damaged three units on the first and second floors.

One person had to be rescued and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Two others were treated at the scene.

Eight people have been displaced and are being helped by the Red Cross.
