AFD puts out fire in South Austin

Firefighters responded to a fire on South Congress near Stassney Lane Wednesday morning.

AUSTIN, Texas - Fire crews were called to a structure fire overnight in South Austin.

On Wednesday, just after 3:20 a.m., a fire was reported in the 5400 block of South Congress Ave. near West Stassney Lane.

Crews say they saw black smoke coming from every window of the building.

AFD was able to put out the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
