Flash Flood Watch posted for Austin area until 9 p.m.
Widespread light to moderate rain fell across Central Texas on Wednesday.
A Flash Flood Watch has been posted for the Austin area until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
One floodgate at Tom Miller Dam has been partially opened to pass the rainwater downstream.
Temperatures across most of the area are above freezing, and while there have been few reports
of some freezing rain mixing in, there are no icy roads reported at this time.
With the threat of dropping temperatures overnight, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in place for Mason and San Saba counties.
Rain is expected to taper off later Wednesday night, but another batch is likely for Thursday morning.
Drier air is expected to move in Thursday afternoon with clear skies come the evening.
