Float Fest 2019 moving to Gonzales from San Marcos
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Float Fest 2019 has floated out east. This year's music festival will be held at a private ranch about two miles south of the City of Gonzales - which is about an hour outside of both Austin and San Antonio.
The new location is also about a two hour commute from Houston.
According to Float Fest, Gonzales is known as the birthplace of Texas and they 'couldn't think of a better place to bring a festival like ours rich in Texas traditions.'
The new ranch location brings visitors new amenities such as:
- 2.5 miles of beautiful Guadalupe River front on the property. This means NO MORE TUBING SHUTTLES! You can come to the fest and hop right in the water and start your float. You will exit the water at the ranch as well. Super convenient.
- TONS OF SHADE!! The ranch is covered in trees. We have a riverside Pecan Orchard that is absolutely beautiful. This means you can stay cool while you camp.
- Improved traffic flow
- 3x the space. This new ranch is enormous which means campsites will be larger at 20x20.
The lineup for Float Fest 2019 will be announced Thursday, April 25 at 10 a.m.
Tickets for the music festival will be available for purchase at the same time.
