Flood watch and advisories in place as storms hit the area

There are currently several weather warnings and advisories in effect as storms hit our area.

As of 3 PM 10/24 the following counties have warnings and/or advisories in effect:

FLASH FLOOD WATCH

The following counties are under a Flash Flood Watch until 7 AM 10/25:

Bell, Lampasas, Milam, Bastrop, Fayette, and Lee 

FLOOD ADVISORIES

Milam until 7:45 PM

Caldwell and Fayette until 5:45 PM

Bastrop and Lee until 5:30 PM

Williamson and Travis until 5 PM

Lampasas until 4:30 PM

FLOOD WARNING

Bell until 8:00 AM 10/25

Burnet until 11:57 AM 10/25

As of 8 PM, there are around 81 low-water crossings closed. Remember turn around don't drown! Check for road closures due to the weather at www.atxfloods.com

The Austin/Travis County Emergency Operations Center has been activated to coordinate public safety and transportation operations for F1 and to monitor weather conditions.

In addition to monitoring local weather reports, the public can also find emergency message updates at Travis County Emergency Services Facebook (TravisCoEmergencyServices) and Twitter (@TravisCountyES) pages.
