Four transported to hospital after auto-pedestrian crash on I-35

Four people have been transported to the hospital following an auto-pedestrian collision on the southbound service road of I-35 at 15th Street Friday afternoon.

ATCEMS tweeted that medics were on scene of the crash in the 1500 block of North I-35 at 2:34 p.m. 

Austin police say the call came in at approximately 2:25 p.m. and asks drivers to avoid the area.

A man was declared a trauma alert and transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical life-threatening injuries. A woman in her 20s was also declared a trauma alert and transported with serious injuries.

Two more women, one in her 50s and one in her 20s, were transported as well with non life-threatening injuries.

ATCEMS says the incident may involve multiple vehicles and multiple patients, and that a third ambulance was requested for an additional patient.

ATCEMS says to expect traffic delays and reminds drivers to move over, slow down and watch for responders on the scene.
