AUSTIN, Texas - A decision has been made.
President Trump has chosen Brett Kavanaugh to fill Anthony Kennedy's seat in the Supreme Court after he retires.
53-year-old Kavanaugh has been a judge on Washington, D.C.'s Appeals Court since 2006.
The president made the announcement Monday night in the east room of the White House, but he reportedly made his final decision Sunday night.
The president called Kavanaugh "a judge's judge", and said he's "one of the sharpest legal minds of our time".
