Garbage truck gets stuck under IH-35

UPDATE:

Police have reopened northbound lanes on I-35 after clearing a garbage stuck from underneath the 12th St. bridge.

*Update 5:00 p.m. 12/22/15*

APD is reporting closures along IH-35 while crews check for damage from garbage truck.

APD is reporting that a garbage truck is stuck underneath the 12th street overpass on IH-35.

It appears the arms that raise trash receptacles above the truck were not completely lowered and that they have struck the overpass.

Authorities are working to clear the scene.

Please avoid the area.
