Girl struck by stray bullet in north Houston

Police say a six-year-old girl was struck by a stray bullet in north Houston.

According to Houston police, the girl was accidently shot by a security guard when police say two people tried to steal cell phones from the T-Mobile store on Tidwell at Airline.

Police say the guard chased the suspects and fired several shots, one of which hit the girl's leg while she was across the street in a McDonald's parking lot.

The girl and one of the suspects were taken to the hospital. The other suspect is in the custody.
