Near the big crowds at the State Capitol for the inauguration of Governor Greg Abbott, protestors also showed up but for something else.

The group was marching in support of Rodney Reed who is on death row for a murder some say he didn't commit.

The group marched towards the Capitol and got as close to the inauguration ceremony as they could trying to get their message heard.

The marchers want Governor Abbott to grant clemency to Reed and allow his DNA to be tested.

Reed's lawyers say if they would allow it, they'd find he had nothing to do with the murder of Stacey Stites in 1996.

Reed is scheduled to be executed on March 5th.
