I-35 closes lanes for repairs starting tonight at 11 p.m.

Interstate 35 closures have been scheduled to take place tonight.
Construction crews will close the northbound lower deck mainlanes of I-35 from 12th Street to Airport Boulevard, as well as one northbound lane on the I-35 upper deck in Austin from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.
The closures are necessary to repair damaged concrete railing on the bridge and to ensure driver’s safety while work is taking place on the bridges.
Crews will re-open the lanes sooner if work is finished early.
Heavy delays are expected. Road signs have been placed to alert drivers of the closure. Motorists should allow extra time to travel through this area during the affected hours. TxDOT asks the traveling public to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone.
