LCRA to stop traffic on RM 620 bridge intermittently Monday morning

The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) announced that transmission line work will affect traffic on the RM 620 bridge at Mansfield Dam Monday morning.

Traffic on the bridge is expected to be stopped intermittently between 9 a.m. and noon on June 10, as work on an LCRA transmission line proceeds, says LCRA. Traffic will be stopped in both directions for no more than 15 minutes at a time during that three-hour period.

During the stops, multiple pieces of equipment, including a helicopter, will be used to remove old fiber from the transmission line, says LCRA.

Removal of the fiber is one of the final steps to upgrade the transmission line between LCRA’s Marshall Ford Substation and Austin Energy’s Lakeway Tap.
