AUSTIN, Texas - Veterans and their families gathered at Camp Mabry on November 18 for a free meal thanks to Jack Allen's Kitchen and Salt Traders Coastal Cooking.
The local restaurants teamed up to celebrate and honor an estimated 700 veterans and their families.
The event was held a week after Veterans Day as it best fit Camp Mabry's schedule.
The menu included prime rib, smoked barbecue chicken, japaleno-smoke sausage, beans, potato salad, slaw, cookies and brownies and more.
This is the third year in a row that Jack Allen's and Salt Traders have held this event.
