Man and child found dead in Travis County home identified
The man and child found dead in a southwest Travis County home has been identified as 42-year-old Yariv Kaplan and 9-year-old Lielle Kaplan.
The two were found dead with gunshot wounds on Monday morning after Travis County Sheriff's Office received a check welfare call for 8001 El Dorado. When the first deputy arrived on scene, he didn't get any response when he knocked on the door.
TCSO says what the deputy saw through the window gave him reason to believe the residents were in immediate assistance and entered the home where Yariv and Lielle were found.
TCSO says Yariv's injuries appear to be self-inflicted and evidence indicates Lielle's death was a homicide.
