Man arrested for fatal stabbing on Sojourner Street

UPDATE: TCSO has identified the victim as 36-year-old Emily Martinez Villareal.

 

 

A suspect has been arrested for an overnight stabbing that left one woman dead. 

According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office. deputies responded to 911 dispatch calls at a residence in the 4600 block of Sojourner Street shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018. When deputies arrived on scene, they located a woman who had been stabbed. 

She was pronounced dead on scene. 

According to TCSO, 51-year-old Roberto Degollado was arrested and charged with murder. 

Bond has been set at $500,000.

TCSO is withholding the identity of the victim until the next of kin has been notified. This is a developing story and will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
