Man charged with manslaughter after shooting friend on birthday

Austin police have arrested and charged Fischer Hoisington, 24, with Manslaughter for fatally shooting his friend, Aaron Moore, 24, early Monday morning after celebrating their birthdays together.
According to authorities, the incident happened on the 500 block of East Stassney Lane around 1 AM.
Police said Hoisington and Moore were out celebrating their mutual birthdays and returned to the apartment. They began handling a loaded gun, which Moore owned, when Hoisington had the gun it fired and struck Moore in the chest.
APD and EMS performed CPR on Moore but he died at the scene.
Hoisington is in the Travis County Jail facing Manslaughter charges, a 2nd degree felony.
