Man dead after officer involved shooting in Burnet

BURNET, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - One man has been killed in an officer involved shooting in Burnet.

Burnet Police Chief Paul Nelson says the incident happened early this morning at East League and McNeil Streets.

Chief Nelson says the man tried to ram an officer with his car and the officer shot and killed him.

Investigators are now looking at body camera footage to determine exaclty what happened.

Texas Rangers are the lead investigators.
