Man detained, no weapons found on UTA campus

A report about a man with a gun prompted a search on the University of Texas – Arlington campus Wednesday morning.

Police said someone reported seeing a suspicious man wearing fatigues near the architecture building around 11 a.m. He was said to be carrying a gun.

Students and staff were asked to shelter in place while police searched the campus.
