McDonald’s is making its iconic French fries a tad more hearty.

The fast food chain's crispy, straight-cut fries will be topped with real cheddar cheese and smoked bacon bits. The "Cheesy Bacon Fries" will only be offered for a limited time in Northern California and Hawaii, a spokesperson tells FOX 13.

However, according to News 4, the fries have also been spotted in Nevada. It's unclear whether they may expand to the rest of the country.

The new fries will cost between $3.50 – $3.75, reports FOX News. It is also not the first time McDonald's  experimented with its French fries.

"Two years ago we brought Northern California McDonald's guests Gilroy Garlic Fries for a limited time," said Brad Goldblatt, a local McDonald's operator. "We're excited to add Cheesy Bacon Fries to our menus through early 2019."
