Missing Manatee Co. K9 found safe

PARRISH (FOX 13) - The Manatee County Sheriff's Office K9 that went missing early Wednesday was found safe later that evening.

Deputies were searching the K9 named Boss after he was seen running into a wooded area in a Parrish neighborhood.

Boss was doing his "morning routine" with the agency when he became distracted and ran into a wooded area near in the Foxbrook communities off of County Road 675, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. 

A resident later found him in the 15,000 block of County Road 675 just before 6 p.m.

MCSO said he was taken to the vet for a checkup, but appeared to be OK.
