Murder suspect still at large in Pflugerville

A murder suspect is still at large in Pflugerville.

Police are asking for help catching the suspect in a shooting that took the life of a 51-year-old woman. “I hope that because of her impact in our community it will lead to someone speaking up to help find someone who took an innocent life,” said Det. Janie Campana with the Pflugerville Police Department.

Murdered before sunrise, FOX 7 crews were at the Century Stone Hill South apartments on March 31 shortly after police say a man gunned down Sharon Selman. “She was very well involved in her community and in her church. She was always known to have a smile on her face and reach out to her neighbors and just very loving and caring,” said Campana.

Details on the suspect are limited. The suspect is described as a black male, 140 pounds and about 5 foot 8. As far as what the suspect was wearing, one detail that stood out was the fact he was last seen wearing a mask over his mouth and nose, something you now see most people wearing when out in public because of the pandemic. “It was reported to be an industrial white-colored mask,” said Campana.

This marks the third homicide so far this year for Pflugerville. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police. Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward for any information leading to an arrest.
