New details in State Rep. Dawnna Dukes case
As the trial date for State Representative Dawnna Dukes nears, Travis County prosecutors are preparing to present more evidence against the lawmaker.
The Travis County DA filed paperwork outlining 19 extraneous acts that will be used against Dukes in her upcoming corruption trial. Some of the acts include hiding a cell phone from investigators, being noticeably impaired while on legislative duty and spending more than $50,000 on an online psychic.
Dukes' felony charges for tampering with a government record are on hold. Prosectors will continue with the misdemeanor charges next month.
