It may be Friday the 13th, a day typically associated with bad luck and extreme superstitions, but there is at least one thing working in our favor; it also happens to be World Kindness Day.

It's an international observance, "introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement," explains Wikipedia.

It's honored in countries all over the world, including Canada, Japan, Australia, Nigeria and United Arab Emirates.

So,everyone is encouraged to perform a small act of kindness- whether for a loved one or a complete stranger- and put some good karma out there.

Those who believe in the "Friday the 13th" hype will certainly appreciate the notion of good karma, which -we all know- is brought on by kindness!
