Officials investigating shooting in North Austin

The Austin Police Department says a man is in the hospital after a shooting in North Austin. 

Police say at around 4 a.m. the victim was walking in the 1700 block of West Braker Lane when he was approached by at least two suspects and shot.

The victim was walking westbound home from work. He was taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Police say the victim was conscious and able to communicate with EMS when they arrived. They say the victim is cooperating with detectives.
