One seriously injured after car and moped collide
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - One person was seriously injured following a collision between a moped and a car near the University of Texas at Austin campus on Friday.
According to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, first responders responded to the 3100 block of Guadalupe Street around 4 p.m. on Friday, March 15 for a car accident. Mutliple callers had told dispatched that there was an unconscious male in the road.
When first responders arrived on scene, they found a male in his sixties with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. He was transported by ATCEMS to Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas. According to ATCEMS, the male was the driver of the moped.
The Austin Police Department will be taking over the investigation.
