Austin Police got the call about a shooting a little after 10:30 Monday night. When officers arrived at 901 Wagon Trail a woman was dead.

"Upon officers arrival on scene along with Austin Travis County EMS, they discovered a white female in her 40's that was pronounced deceased.  3 other persons on scene were transported to Brackenridge Hospital for non-life threatening injuries," said APD officer Christopher Irwin.

Irwin told the press they believe it to be an isolated incident, no immediate danger to the public, and no suspect information to give out. By Tuesday afternoon, Austin Police were still working the crime scene.

We spoke with one man who says he was there and was hit by gunfire.  He wouldn't go on camera but told us three people tried to rob them.

Jonathan Barron works right next door at his dad's business, Elmer's Auto Repair. He's not sure what sort of business the "Game Room" is but says he and his co-workers left just in time not to get caught in the crossfire Monday night.  But he wasn't at home for long.

"A private investigator or cop called my Dad and told us to come here.  It was like 11 something and they told us to come by, open the shop up so they could look at the camera footage. We were like 'oh okay,'" he said.

Barron says they were at the shop until 2 in the morning but they didn't see the suspects on their surveillance video.

Austin Police crime statistics show the northeast part of town has seen an increase in violent crime like murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault.

As of June last year there were 324 violent crimes in the area since the year began...as of June this year, 413. Crimes like DWI, prostitution and narcotics actually decreased during the same time.
