One woman shot in early morning shooting in North Austin

A woman is now in stable condition after an early morning shooting in Austin on Monday.

Austin police are still investigating the incident that happened around 3:20 a.m. off of Airport Boulevard, nears ACC's Highland campus.

Police say a woman in her 20s was sitting in the passenger seat of a car when she got shot in the shoulder.

The investigation took place in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on Highland Mall Boulevard and Airport Boulevard, however, police say that's not where the actually shooting happened.

Police talked to several witnesses who aren't currently suspects. APD says they do have some possible leads but nobody has been taken into custody yet.
