Orphanage buddies reunited through adoption

This unlikely reunion between two pre-schoolers is giving us all the feels.

The video shows the first time the two former orphanage buddies were reunited through adoption at the Dallas Fort Worth airport. It was the first time they’d seen each other in a year.

Hannah and Dawson, ages three and four, were both abandoned by their parents in China. Hannah, because of her cleft lip, and Dawson because of a condition that causes fluid to his brain. The two were inseparable.

When Sharon Sykes and her family went to China to adopt Hannah, they met her friend who she refers to as Dada.
Sharon said, “We actually toured the orphanage and I saw their response to each other, I thought, “Oh my gosh, we can’t leave this boy in China.”

So she posted Dawson’s picture on Facebook, hoping someone in North Texas could give him a loving home.
Less than 24 hours later, Chris and Amy Clary came into the equation.

Amy told reporters, “Our youngest was two months old at the time. So we have a full house. Now with Dada, we have a 1, 2, 3, and 4- year old. And that’s a lot of kids.”

According to adoption organizations, there are 140 million children worldwide just like Hannah and Dawson, who are in need of loving homes.
