Overnight storms cause flash flooding in parts of Central TX

Several low water crossings remain closed as well as other roads because of flooding concerns. Part of a road near Brushy Creek in Williamson County is one of those closed following some intense rain and thunderstorms Wednesday evening.

Overnight TxDOT employees worked around the clock putting up barricades and blocking off flooded roads throughout the area. But because the tropical system Bill dropped a lot of rain in different parts of the state, more than a dozen TxDOT employees from Austin are being sent to help Texas Task Force 1 in other places as well, like the Bryan and College Station area.

There haven't been any reports of any damages from flash flooding.
