Pflugerville police identify man killed in Pecan Street, SH 130 crash

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas - The Pflugerville Police Department has identified the man killed in Thursday's fatal crash at Pecan Street and SH 130.

David Germick, 32, was killed when he was ejected from his vehicle and fell onto the northbound lanes of SH 130. According to Pflugerville police, Germick was driving west on Pecan Street over SH 130 around 3:11 p.m. Thursday when his vehicle struck the protective barrier on the bridge.

Police and emergency crews responded and he was pronounced dead at the scene around 20 minutes later.

Pflugerville police say the cause is still under investigation and that Germick's death is the third traffic fatality in Pflugerville this year.

The crash caused SH 130 northbound to be closed for several hours.
