Police respond to a bank robbery in South Austin

A Chase bank in South Austin has been robbed on Saturday afternoon.

AUSTIN, Texas - According to APD, there has been a robbery at a Chase Bank on 5700 West Slaughter Lane in South Austin.

Police received a call from the Bank around 1 45 p.m. Saturday about a man who brandished a handgun and demanded money from a teller. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money before he exited the bank and rode off on a pedal bicycle. Police believe he headed West on Slaughter Lane away from the bank.
