Police seek man described as 'bumbling burglar'
LAKELAND, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Authorities in Lakeland, Florida are asking for the public's help in identifying who they are calling a not-so-smooth criminal.
"On November 18, at approximately 9 p.m. this bumbling burglar used a fire extinguisher to break a hole in the wall at the Hyundai Dealership located at 1430 W. Memorial Boulevard," read a statement from the Lakeland Police Department.
Climbing in through the hole in the wall wasn’t as easy as he thought, and he even lost his shorts on the way into the building.
Investigators said the whole incident was captured on security cameras and it appears he was able to make off with a generator. He was last seen heading south bound on Brunnell Parkway.
Anyone with information may be eligible for a cash reward. They are asked to call Heartland Crime Stoppers Florida AT 1-800-226-TIPS (8477), or log onto www.P3tips.com to submit a tip.
