Police: Woman drives on field during Little League game

A terrifying video caught a woman driving onto a Little League ball field in Maine, killing a man whose swift actions saved children.

In the middle of the game, the woman drove through a gate and onto the ball field.

She hit and killed 68-year-old Douglas Parkhurst, who was pushing children out of the way of her vehicle.

The driver's best friend said she has no idea why the woman would do something like that.

"It's hard to believe and I'm thinking maybe she had a mental illness that I didn't know about and if so she hit rock bottom," she said.

Carol Sharrow, the 51-year-old driver, is charged with manslaughter.
