Recall of products sold at H-E-B containing sliced red apples
Fresh from Texas is recalling multiple products containing sliced red apples because they have the potential to be contaminated with listeria. The products were sold at H-E-B stores in Texas.
Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and those with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
No illnesses have been reported so far.
