Restaurant owner offers meal to person digging through dumpster

A restaurant owner in Oklahoma is being praised by many after a photo surfaced of a sign that was posted in the window. It is addressed to the person who has been digging through the restaurant's dumpster, presumably looking for food, and offers that person a meal.

Ashley Jiron is the owner of P.B. Jams in Warr Acres. Jiron says that it broke her heart to know someone was digging through her trash so she wanted to do something. She put up a sign that reads:

"To the person going through our trash for their next meal,

You're a human being and worth more than a meal from a dumpster. Please come in during operating hours for a classic PB&J, fresh veggies, and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked.

-Your friend, the owner."

Jiron says on the restaurant's Facebook page that the sign will remain up until the person comes in.

A "pay it forward" campaign has also been started. You can check it out here.
