Round Rock police make arrest in Ashwood Court shooting

ROUND ROCK, Texas - Round Rock police say they have made an arrest in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in Round Rock.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1500 block of Ashwood Court around 1 p.m. March 3. The victim, identified as 17-year-old Brian Navarro, showed up at a local hospital with an apparent gunshot wound. He later died from his injuries.

Round Rock police arrested the suspect, identified as 17-year-old Gabriel Hernandez, for murder. Police say it appears the two knew each other and they say they are aware of no specific threat to the public.
