San Marcos police looking for man who evaded arrest on Bracewood Circle

The San Marcos Police Department is looking for a man they say was involved in a road rage incident in downtown San Marcos in June and later ran from police.

Jorge Enriquez, 33, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

San Marcos police received a call about a road rage incident in downtown on June 26, where police say Enriquez used his vehicle to block in another. He also threw a beer can at the driver's side window and attacked the driver. Police say as the victim attempted to leave, Enriquez rammed the other driver.

Police detectives obtained an arrest warrant Tuesday and saw Enriquez driving home in the 700 block of Bracewood Circle and attempted to contact him.

Enriquez parked, ran into his apartment, and barricaded himself inside, says San Marcos police. The Hays County SWAT team was called in and officers surrounded the apartment. He was not found inside.

Police say that at this time, Enriquez's whereabouts are unknown, and he is considered violent.

Anyone with information about Enriquez is asked to contact SMPD Detective Patrick Aubry at 512.753.2306 or by email at paubry@sanmarcostx.gov.
